We are currently seeking an experienced Field Breakdown Fitter to join our team and support a major mining operation in the Bowen Basin.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Diesel Fitter with strong mobile mining equipment maintenance and breakdown experience. If you enjoy hands-on work, fault finding and keeping heavy mining equipment operating safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you!

About the Role Working as part of the site maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out breakdown and preventative maintenance on mobile mining equipment
• Fault finding, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
• Servicing and maintaining heavy mobile mining equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising equipment downtime
• Completing planned maintenance and component change-outs
• Conducting inspections and identifying potential mechanical issues
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and site compliance

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian Trade Qualification – Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Trade
• Proven experience maintaining mobile mining equipment
• Strong breakdown, fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Previous mining experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• A strong commitment to safety
• Reliable work ethic and excellent attendance
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
