Project Supervisor - Heavy Mining Equipment Relocation

AAMG are seeking an experienced and highly capable Project Supervisor to take a key role in the planning, coordination, supervision and execution of a major heavy mining equipment relocation project across Queensland mine sites.
This is not a desk-based Project Manager role.
The role requires someone who can take ownership of the project from planning through to execution while remaining hands-on and visible in the field. You will need to be equally comfortable developing the plan, coordinating contractors and stakeholders, managing schedules and logistics, and being on site ensuring the work is executed safely and efficiently.
This is a dynamic role requiring someone who can stay across all facets of the project, anticipate issues and drive the job forward.

The Role
Working across multiple Queensland mine sites, you will coordinate and supervise the relocation of heavy mining equipment from one operation to another.

• Planning equipment relocation activities from mobilisation through to completion
• Developing and managing project schedules, work plans and key milestones
• Supervising site activities and ensuring work is executed safely and according to plan
• Coordinating heavy equipment movements, transport activities, contractors and site resources
• Liaising with mine site management, operations, maintenance, transport providers and other key stakeholders
• Coordinating site access, mobilisation requirements, permits and project documentation
• Identifying project risks, constraints and potential delays before they impact execution
• Managing changing priorities and resolving issues as they arise in the field
• Leading and participating in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and project coordination meetings
• Monitoring progress against the project plan and providing clear updates to management
• Ensuring contractors and personnel comply with site requirements, procedures and safety standards
• Maintaining accurate project records, documentation and reporting
• Coordinating demobilisation and project close-out activities
• Taking ownership of the overall work scope and ensuring nothing falls through the gaps

Mandatory Requirements

• Coal Board Medical (CBM)
• Standard 11 Induction
• S1, S2 & S3 (S123) Supervisory Competencies
• G2 - Carry Out the Risk Management Process
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Full Australian working rights

About You
We are looking for someone with a strong combination of project management capability, site supervision and practical mining experience.

• Demonstrated experience supervising projects or major work scopes within the Queensland mining industry
• Strong project planning, scheduling and coordination capabilities
• Experience working with heavy mining equipment and/or major equipment relocations
• A sound understanding of heavy haulage, mobilisation and mine site logistics
• Strong knowledge of mine site safety systems, risk management and supervisory responsibilities
• Experience coordinating contractors, operators, trades, transport providers and site resources
• The ability to identify problems early and develop practical solutions
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels
• Good computer literacy and the ability to manage schedules, documentation and reporting
• The ability and flexibility to work across multiple Queensland mine sites

Previous experience coordinating the relocation, mobilisation, assembly/disassembly or transport of large mining equipment will be highly regarded.

Communicates well - You can confidently coordinate contractors, site personnel, management and external providers and keep everyone aligned.
Stays organised under pressure - When plans change or issues arise, you reassess, communicate, make decisions and keep the project moving.
Is safety focused - You understand that safe execution is fundamental to successful project delivery and are confident in your supervisory and risk management responsibilities.
Gets things done - You can take a complex scope, develop the plan, coordinate the people and resources, and safely deliver the job.
