Field Technician - Satellite Telemetry & Industrial Technology

AAMG are currently seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team, supporting the delivery and integration of our solutions.
This role will see you deployed across multiple projects, delivering industry leading solutions and communications technologies in mining and heavy industrial environments.
 
The Opportunity

As an AAMG Technician assigned to our client's projects, you will be responsible for:

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of industrial technology systems
• Vehicle and heavy mobile equipment technology fit outs
• Installation and termination of communications and electrical systems
• Fault finding, diagnostics and system testing
• Supporting commissioning teams during project rollouts
• Working safely and effectively within remote and site-based environments

This is a hands-on role suited to technicians who enjoy technical problem solving and working on advanced technologies in operational mining environments.
 
Essential Requirements

• Trade qualification (Auto Electrical, Communications, or similar technical trade) 
• Experience installing, maintaining or fault-finding electrical and/or telemetry systems
• Ability to work on remote mine sites
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
• Current driver's licence
• Ability to obtain and maintain relevant site inductions and medical & police clearances

 
 Highly Regarded (Desirable)

• Mining industry background
• Radio, networking, telemetry or data communications experience
• Heavy mobile equipment technology experience
• Commissioning or system integration experience
• Working at Heights, Confined Space and other site certifications

Location & Roster

• Central QLD base
• Monday to Friday Roster, with a requirement for overtime when projects require
• Vehicle supplied
