Drive procurement, inventory and admin excellence for a leading Australian manufacturer in this dynamic, hands-on WA Procurement Officer role.
Our client, an Australian based manufacturer is looking for a Procurement Officer to join their WA Branch.
Position Purpose:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for the efficient purchasing of raw materials, services and equipment, maintaining inventory and supply chain continuity, and ensuring accurate sales and manufacturing document control.
This role supports the WA branch through administration, logistics and integrated management system (IMS) compliance.

Business responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing:
· Purchasing and acquisition of raw materials, services and equipment in line with budgets and demand.
· Maintaining supplier relationships, obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing and delivery.
· Ensuring purchasing orders, sales orders and manufacturing information flow accurately between departments.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
· Monitoring inventory, components' supply chain and finished goods stock.
· Maintain Bill of Materials.
· Tracking components' stock and ensuring continuity of supply.
Administration & Branch Support:
· Overseeing administrative functions, including office equipment, supplies and facilities.
· Coordinating WA team communication, meetings, schedules and logistics.
· Preparing reports, including Procurement Reports for Board Meetings and data for annual budgets.
· Supporting Manufacturing with workflow and administrative tasks.
· Preparing sales quotes in Xero and ensuring customer-facing documentation is current.
· Coordinating the sales/manufacturing process (MM 4.1 refer), ensuring Distributors/Sales have current sales documents and resultant purchase orders are accompanied by completed Sales Orders, facilitating relevant information for manufacturing.
· Coordinating carbon credit data reporting.
· Attending weekly Management Meetings and annual Management Review Meetings.
Document Control & Integrated Management System (IMS) Compliance
· Managing the integrity of the Customer Register, Product Register and Stock & PO Register.
· Establishing and coordinating relevant trademarks for 'HYDI' & 'HYDI Hydrogen'.
· Coordinating 'design change' through JLB Track.
· Ensuring the IMS is maintained in WA.
· Coordinating WA related nonconformances (NCRs), corrective action (CARs), improvement plans (BIPs), related incidents reports, external provider evaluations and the Equipment Register in JLB Track.
· Ensuring the requirements of the IMS as described in HYDI's Management Manual, policies, work instructions and SOPs are met, where relevant; ensuring operational, environmental and workplace safety issues, and incidents are reported through JLB Track; and ensuring respective objectives and targets are actioned to facilitate continual improvement.
Sales & Marketing Support:
· Monitoring customer perception of HYDI products.
· Assisting Sales & Marketing Director with HYDI sales and promotional activities.
· Provide Distributors/Sales with current sales documentation.
Authorities
· Purchasing raw materials, services and equipment as budgeted.
· Liaising with Distributors for sales data.
· Liaising with suppliers and contractors.
· Liaising with contractor for carbon credit reporting.
· Raising and closing of NCRs and CARs in JLB Track.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
· Experience in procurement, supply chain or inventory coordination.
· Strong administrative and document control experience.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Experience using Xero or a similar accounting system.
Desirable:
· Experience in manufacturing or technical environments.
· Understanding of ISO based management systems.
