Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of telemetry hardware and embedded systems for industrial and mining applications.
Support testing, calibration, and validation of electronic and mechatronic systems in the lab and field.
Contribute to IoT data acquisition and communication systems, including sensor integration and network configuration.
Participate in system diagnostics, fault finding, and performance optimisation of deployed equipment.
Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and test reports.
Support on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telemetry systems at mine sites as required.
About you: You’re a motivated and curious engineer who enjoys solving real-world problems through technology. You’re hands-on, adaptable, and eager to learn from a multidisciplinary team working on cutting-edge IoT and automation projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
A strong interest in IoT, embedded systems, and remote monitoring technologies.
Basic knowledge of electronics design, sensors, communication protocols (e.g., RS485, Modbus, CAN, LoRa, 4G/LTE).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Willingness to occasionally travel to mine sites for installation and testing work.
Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence.
Previous experience with CAD software is ideal but not a requirement.
