JOB SUMMARY
EQ8 Recruit has been engaged by a Client of ours who is seeking an experienced LNG Marine Superintendent to join their Marine team in London, United Kingdom. The role supports SMS management, ship security, navigation and LNG cargo operations across applicable fleet vessels. Responsibilities include ship shore compatibility, SIRE inspections, TMSA audits, internal and navigation audits and technical support for nautical, cargo and mooring equipment.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is an international LNG vessel owner and ship manager with a strong focus on safe vessel operations, marine compliance, cargo operations and meeting charterer and customer requirements.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• Minimum one year sailing as a Master Mariner aboard an LNG vessel
• Master Mariner Certificate of Competency
• Strong understanding of LNG and cargo operations
• Understanding of vessel operational procedures and requirements
• Experience with SIRE inspections and TMSA audits
• Familiarity with ship shore compatibility procedures in accordance with the SIGTTO questionnaire or other customer specific requirements
  Internal Auditor Certificate
• Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation and Analysis Training
• Familiarity with internal and external audit processes
• Understanding of vessel charter party and Performance Warranties requirements
• Understanding of crewing matters and employment criteria in accordance with Oil Majors requirements
• Global knowledge of ocean passage in accordance with IMO guidelines
  Ability to work effectively as part of the Marine team and liaise with vessel Masters and personnel at all levels within the office
• UK based candidates with the relevant skills and experience will be prioritised. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Support SMS management, ship security, cargo operations and navigation
• Provide instructions relating to cargo and navigation
• Prepare and verify ship shore compatibility, including responses to screening required by terminals or charterers
• Review Ship Specific Operation Manuals
• Provide technical support for nautical, cargo and mooring equipment
• Manage matters relating to assessments by certifying and inspection authorities
• Provide guidance for the education and training of ship crews
• Attend SIRE inspections and TMSA audits
• Assist the CSO with security matters
• Support internal audits and navigation audits
• Support nautical and cargo operation management
• Support ship operation management
• Support customer requirements relating to CP Performance Warranties and Marine and HSEQ matters
• Assist with new project management

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
A market related salary based on the level of responsibility for this role is on offer. UK based candidates will be prioritised. However, relocation support will be provided for exceptional talent needing to relocate to the UK.
