JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse Assistant to join our client’s team in Edenvale, Gauteng. The role involves day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods, as well as operating a forklift safely. The ideal candidate is hardworking, able to follow instructions accurately, detail-oriented, and able to contribute to the smooth running of a busy warehouse.

Candidates must reside in the East Rand/Edenvale area.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• Valid forklift licence. Essential
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Ability to lift and move goods safely
• Knowledge of basic warehouse safety standards
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Candidates must reside in the East Rand/Edenvale area.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Receiving and storing goods. Offloading, checking, recording, and placing stock in designated areas
• Order picking and dispatch. Accurate picking, packing, and preparation of orders for dispatch
• Forklift operations. Safe operation and daily pre-use checks
• Stock control. Assisting with stock counts and reporting shortages or damages
• Warehouse upkeep. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Team support. Assisting the warehouse supervisor with ad-hoc duties as required

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

• Hourly rate: R33.00 per hour
• Working hours: 8.5 hours per day
• Average monthly hours: 173 hours
• Estimated monthly earnings: R5,709.00
