JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a Sales Assistant to join their retail team in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town. The role involves assisting walk-in, phone, and email customers, capturing orders, processing sales on the ERP system, and providing exceptional customer service within a busy technical sales environment. This position suits a detail-oriented individual with a practical mindset and a customer-centric approach.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:
Core Requirements in order to be shortlisted:

• Minimum 2 years technical sales experience (rope knowledge advantageous)
• Grade 12 qualification
• Customer-centric approach with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Advantage in order to be shorlisted:

• Knowledge of synthetic rope products and applications
• Business Central experience advantageous
• Experience working on ERP and CRM systems

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Assist walk-in and remote customers with queries, pricing, and product advice
• Capture and process sales orders and in-store purchases on the ERP system
• Prepare and follow up on quotes to convert them into sales
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate orders with the factory for non-stock items
• Maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication
• Share updates on new products, specials, and service improvements
• Handle packing and unpacking of customer orders
