JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of three divisions in Walvis Bay. This position suits a hands-on finance professional with strong analytical and leadership skills who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a respected name in the logistics and maritime services sector, with a focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth. The Finance Manager will report to the Finance Executive (based in Cape Town) and work closely with the Operations Executive and General Manager in Namibia.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:
Core must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5–7 years’ experience in finance or accounting, including 2 years in management
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws and compliance
• Proven experience in cash flow management, budgeting and reporting
• Advanced Excel and accounting system proficiency

Nice-to-haves:

• Professional qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA or similar)
• SAP experience
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical abilities
• Adaptable, proactive and able to work under pressure

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, forecasts and budgets
• Oversee tax compliance and submissions
• Manage debtors and creditors processes to optimise cash flow
• Monitor bank balances and ensure financial accuracy through reconciliations
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls
• Liaise with divisional heads to resolve accounting discrepancies
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team
• Support senior management with financial insights and recommendations
