JOB SUMMARY
A respected global shipowner is seeking an Operations Superintendent with experience in managing chemical and/or oil tankers. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations across the assigned vessels, acting as the key point of contact between ship and shore.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• A valid Master Mariner or Chief Officer Certificate of Competency
• Minimum 24 months' experience on oil/chemical tankers in rank
• Previous shore-based experience as Operations Superintendent is an advantage but not a requirement in order to be shortlisted for this role.
• In-depth knowledge of vetting inspections, TMSA, and PSC procedures
• Right to work in the UK or eligibility for visa sponsorship

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Monitor and support vessel operations to ensure compliance and performance
• Liaise with Masters and crew to address operational matters promptly
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions
• Assist in planning and executing cargo operations
• Support vetting preparation and attend vessels during key audits

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
A market-related salary based on the level of responsibility for this role is on offer. Additionally, there is potential for relocation assistance and visa sponsorship for the successful candidate, although this is not guaranteed.
