JOB SUMMARY
EQ8 Recruit is partnering with a leading player in South Africa’s shipbuilding and engineering sector during a phase of significant project expansion. We’re recruiting two experienced Project Administrators for 24-month fixed-term contracts based in Durban. This is a delivery-focused role where you’ll support multiple work streams and ensure seamless communication, documentation, and reporting.

Our client is one of Africa’s most respected names in commercial and naval shipbuilding. They operate at the forefront of infrastructure innovation and are expanding their team to deliver on a growing pipeline of strategic projects.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project administration or coordination role
• Exposure to engineering, maritime, or construction environments is required
• A Diploma or Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint & SharePoint
• Experience using MS Project and/or Primavera is a strong advantage, although not essential
• Highly organised, deadline-driven, with strong stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, self-starting attitude with a strong “roll up your sleeves” mindset and ability to take ownership from day one
• CAPM registration is a strong advantage, although not essential

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating meetings, workshops and schedules
• Preparing minutes, tracking action items, and maintaining calendars
• Managing documentation, trackers, risk logs, and project records
• Drafting reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal use
• Supporting communication between teams and departments
• Facilitating updates to issue and change logs
