JOB SUMMARY
This is a pivotal opportunity for a seasoned Production Manager to take ownership of a highly specialised manufacturing environment, leading the HMPE and Coating Departments at the heart of a company known for its bespoke, high-performance products. The role offers both strategic and hands-on leadership - from driving efficiency and ensuring safety, to playing a key part in continuous improvement and quality excellence

Our client is a well-established company specialising in high-quality technical bespoke products, serving various industries including the marine sector. They pride themselves on excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

A minimum of 7 years’ experience proven work experience as a Production Manager or similar role
(minimum 3 years) within manufacturing/FMCG industry
Ability to splice rope or identify what a good splice looks like.
Experience working in a bespoke manufacturing environment would be advantageous
Production Diploma would prove advantageous
Proficient in MS Office
Prior experience in the use of ERP systems
Excellent organisational, control and problem-solving skills (able to manage multiple schedules and
tasks simultaneously)
Experience working in a multi-shift environment
Experience working with cost control management and initiatives
Experience with working with Overall Equipment Efficiencies (OEE)

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
Coordinate equipment repairs, upgrades and planned maintenance
Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product quality standards are maintained
Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement
Manage and train production staff including performance management and competence assessments
Prepare and maintain production reports
Resolve operational issues and troubleshoot problems
Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
Ensure that products are manufactured to product specifications
Ensure all relevant documentation and production record keeping is completed
Create detailed product spec database
Ensure quality and performance standards are met
