JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced Warehouse and Distribution Manager to join our client’s senior supply chain leadership team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient inbound and outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and the optimisation of warehouse operations in the marine manufacturing industry. The successful incumbent will bring strong operational focus and leadership to manage high-volume goods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a senior-level, permanent opportunity reporting directly to the GM: Supply Chain.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• A diploma (NQF6) in Supply Chain Management or relevant field; a degree/BTech (NQF7) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a managerial level in warehousing and distribution, with a proven track record in managing high-volume goods.
• Strong expertise in warehouse procedures, including Translution and Syspro software.
• Demonstrated experience in complex picking operations, cycle counts, and driving efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
• Experience managing both direct and indirect teams.
• Strong project management background and hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (5S, Kaizen, etc.).

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing all inbound and outbound logistics, including GRN, binning, picking, dispatch, and supplier collections.
• Managing internal, external, and rebate warehouses to ensure optimal stock flow and space utilisation.
• Ensuring accurate and timely distribution to production sites and efficient reverse logistics.
• Leading and developing a high-performing team, ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Managing warehouse budgets, reporting on key metrics, and supporting long-term growth strategies.
