JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a Training Superintendent with Chief Engineer experience to deliver structured learning and development programmes for seafarers. This role focuses on specialised training in electronic engine operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
This position is ideal for a Chief Engineer (CoC) who is passionate about seafarer training and keen to step into a shore-based leadership role.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
To be shortlisted for this role, you will have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:

• Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) – essential
• Seagoing experience as Chief Engineer, with expertise in electronic engines
• Extensive knowledge of marine engineering and training requirements
• Experience in training and mentoring seafarers
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
• Training of Trainers & Assessors (TOTA) / Vertical Integration Course for Trainers (VICT) certification (preferred)
• Experience in budget management and people management 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering structured training programmes for seafarers, ensuring competency and safety at sea
• Providing specialised training in electronic engine operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Ensuring compliance with training manuals, industry regulations, and company policies
• Identifying and addressing training needs for Engineers within budget constraints
• Keeping detailed records and assessing training effectiveness under Quality Management System requirements
• Staying updated on industry developments and proactively implementing training improvements
• Reporting any training-related issues to the General Manager, Training

• Colleagues in engineering & training functions

External Relationships:

• Various manning partners, training institutes, and regulatory bodies
