JOB SUMMARY
The Group Distribution Manager oversees distribution, logistics, and warehouse operations, focusing on optimising supply chains, managing service providers, and ensuring customer service excellence. Key responsibilities include strategy development, cost optimisation, risk management, and project management.  
   
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• Bachelor/ Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain, Logistics or related qualification. 10 years relevant work experience.
• Exposure in distribution, logistics and warehouse environment is critical.
• Proven 10 years record as a distribution manager or in a similar managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of legal requirements and regulations related to distribution and transportation.

  
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Strategic Development & Alignment:

• Lead the creation and execution of the group distribution strategy, focusing on customer service, talent development, service provider management, and environmental sustainability.
• Support the company’s strategic goals and contribute to achieving organizational objectives.
• Manage service level agreements (SLAs) with key providers such as warehousing, forklift services, rentals, and training.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution leadership, stakeholders, and clients.
• Foster a culture of productivity, responsiveness, and organizational capability. Uphold and promote the Nautam culture within the organization.

Operations Management:

• Act as the central point of excellence for all distribution functions, including raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, dispatch, pallet yard, and waste processing. Ensure stock accuracy and quality control.
• Develop and implement standards across all distribution processes. Focus on cost optimization across the distribution and supply chain operations.
• Oversee both internal and external warehouse optimization.
• Manage SLAs with all service providers and internal departments.
• Lead risk management initiatives and reduce supply chain waste.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery from scoping through to execution.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
A market related salary based on the level of responsibility for this role is on offer.
