JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a Training Superintendent to deliver training courses that ensure competent and safe operations on board. This role involves maintaining compliance with regulatory and company requirements while proactively identifying and addressing training needs.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:

• Class I (Deck/Engine) Certificate of Competency (CoC)
• Degree in Marine Studies, Shipping, or Maritime (preferred)
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar position
• Seagoing experience as a Master Mariner
• Experience in training seafarers
• Training of Trainers & Assessors (TOTA) / Vertical Integration Course for Trainers (VICT) certification
• Sailing experience on a PCTC/RoRo vessel required 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Delivering training courses to ensure safe vessel operations and marine environmental protection
• Maintaining compliance with training manual requirements and regulatory standards
• Identifying and addressing training needs within budget constraints
• Keeping accurate records and evaluating training effectiveness under Quality Management System requirements
• Delivering specialized training courses, including Bridge Resource Management, ECDIS, Liquid Cargo Handling, Risk Assessment, and Leadership courses
