Job Summary
This Tokyo-based role focuses on nurturing and expanding relationships with Japanese shipowners while driving business growth for a global ship management company. As a key liaison between Japanese clients and the international head office, you will shape innovative solutions and represent the company at industry forums. Frequent travel within Japan and internationally is required.

The Successful Applicant
In order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• A robust network within C-Level management at ship-owning companies in Japan
• Fluency in Japanese and English, critical for seamless client communication and collaboration with international teams is a requirement in order to be shortlisted
• Extensive experience in shipping, shipbuilding, or Japanese shipping trading house and/or insurance sectors is a requirement in order to be shortlisted
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive results and deliver value

Job Description
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Cultivating and maintaining relationships with Japanese shipowners
• Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the shipping market
• Acting as a trusted liaison between Japanese clients and the global head office
• Collaborating with internal teams to create tailored solutions that meet client needs
• Representing the company at industry forums and events to stay ahead of market trends
• Resolving issues and ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients
