Achieve Australia is a for purpose community organisation that provides services to people with disability and an NDIS- registered provider.

About the role:
The purpose of the Quality Champion role is to help elevate the voices of people with disability who receive services from Achieve Australia. As persons with lived experience of disability, Quality Champions, with support from Quality Partners, will have peer-to-peer conversations with another person with disability. Direct feedback on the quality of support services that Achieve Australia provides is gathered and reported on. This feedback will be transformed into actionable insights and recommendations to improve service quality over time.

Role Responsibilities:   

• Participation in orientation program, and ongoing Achieve Australia training sessions, as required.
• Conduct interviews and observations of participants’ living environment, supports and connections with their community and collaboratively draft s report for Management review.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal/external stakeholders.
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of Achieve Australia clients involved in the Quality Champion Program.
• Conduct follow up interviews with Quality Champion Program participants, to determine if actionable insights and recommendations have been implemented to improve service quality.
• Modify communication style to suit various target audiences.
• Contribute to report writing and summarise findings.

  
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Not a current or previous recipient of Achieve Australia services or affiliated to Achieve Australia. This is an identified position that has been created for people with a disability. This must identified as a disability through the NDIS.
• Access to personal email and mobile phone.
• Ability to travel independently.
• Motivation and interest in conducting quality assessments.
• Adaptive communication style.
• Ability to take notes on Microsoft suite applications.
