About the role:
The Frontline Rostering Officer is responsible for creating recurring weekly rosters for frontline staff and supported employees to ensure adequate staff are rostered for the effective delivery of quality service to the people we support in their designated clusters. This includes creating staff records in rostering system, backfilling for unplanned absences and any vacant shifts during business hours.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 24-hour rosters in the rostering system to ensure adequate staffing level within NDIS funding parameters.
- Provide a cost-effective and efficient rostering practice and ensure adequate up-to-date data is maintained across systems to enhance service delivery and ensure optimal outcomes for our clients.
- Provide user training and support to frontline managers, working with the team to promote workforce efficiency across the organisation.
- Ensure that roster is developed in accordance with the Rostering Guideline that meets business and industrial award requirements.
- Providing backfill for any vacant shift across the locations with a cost-effective and efficient rostering practice.
- Create and maintain the necessary employee records and details relevant to rostering purposes in a rostering or workforce planning system.
- Acting as point of contact for front line staff during after-hours.
- Directing and allocating resources as directed by the service operation managers, ensuring business processes have been followed and exceptions manage.
- Escalating any shifts that are unable to be filled and/or service issues within appropriate time frames and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need: - Rostering / scheduling / workforce planning experience.
- Knowledge of rostering systems, HR practices and award principles.
- Knowledge and application of Workforce Management Software systems, reporting capabilities, management of queues and activity overflow.
- Ability to build and maintain trust and confidence of stakeholders through building rapport, consistent performance and delivery of services.
- Demonstrated customer focused communication skills incorporating the abilities of courtesy, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise a demanding workload.
- Advanced computer literacy e.g. MS Office and Excel.
