About the role:
The Finance Manager leads the financial operations team, overseeing General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing within the NDIS business model. The role drives process efficiency, governance, and continuous improvement while supporting organizational sustainability and compliance with NDIA requirements. This role also partners with senior leaders to deliver insights that drive performance and sustainability.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end processes for General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Ensure timely invoicing and NDIA claim submissions, monitoring claim rejections and resolution.
- Maintain integrity of financial data and chart of accounts across ERP systems.
- Lead and mentor the Finance Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive automation and efficiency in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger processes.
- Act as key stakeholder for ERP enhancements and integration with NDIS claim systems.
- Collaborate with Corporate Services, Payroll, ICT, Service Delivery, Operations, and Workforce Planning teams to optimize financial workflows.
To be successful in this role, you will need: - CPA or CA Qualified with bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in similar role with proven experience managing financial operations in a complex organization, within Disability Services or NDIS environment.
- Knowledge of NDIA pricing arrangements, participant funding models, and compliance requirements.
- Expertise in ERP systems and financial process automation, advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and business partnering skills.
- Proactive, autonomous and capable of self-starting tasks and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Understands confidentiality and works with integrity.
