About the role:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating services that meet client plan needs and leading practice at a service level. The role is also responsible for providing supervision, on the ground role-modelling, coaching and support for staff, as well as supporting clients. The role is responsible for creating an empowering and enabling environment for people with disabilities and for maximising opportunities for clients to meet personal goals and lifestyle needs. Through effective leadership, this role supports staff to meet client needs ensuring active support.
Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day to day operations of the day program including household accounts, staffing costs, and program activities.
- Initial escalation person for site team members.
- Ensure all mandatory reports are provided on time.
- Drive day program development with team members.
- Assist with financial operation of the site.
- Improve service performance through best practice and culture.
- Ensure properties are maintained to appropriate standards
To be successful in this role, you will need: - Minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support, or equivalent experience in disability support.
- Experience managing and supervising staff and client outcomes in multiple accommodation settings or day programmes.
- Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS, principles of active support and human rights-based approach to service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient computer literacy in MS Office Suite and online systems.
- Practical experience in achieving community inclusion.
- Ability to transport clients in Achieve Australia vehicles (automatic gearbox) across the region. Candidates without a current NSW driver’s licence are subject to a risk assessment.
