About the role:
For many of our staff, making a real difference to the lives of people with disability and working with a great supportive team, is its own reward. We are looking for an experienced Quality and Safeguarding Officer to join our team. This role will be tasked with developing and maintaining quality and safeguarding activities to ensure compliance with the requirements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high level advice and input to ensure the development and implementation of client services that comply with the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and NDIS registration requirements.
- Support the maintenance of internal registers to provide oversight of the organisations policy information and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
- Manage and conduct Internal Quality and Practice Audits to identify non-compliance issues for corrective action.
- Implement the approved formal and informal reporting schedule for the Customer and Practice team and make recommendations for improvement as required.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the end to end internal Restrictive Practices Panel Process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to continually reinforce and grow the organisations commitment to high quality service to clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need: - Relevant qualifications.
- Strong Excel and data modelling skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation governing disability services and/or other related services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and develop stakeholder relationships in order to deliver positive outcomes in a timely manner.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and quality safeguarding in human services.
