We are seeking a skilled Quality and Safeguarding Officer to support the implementation of Achieve’s governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
- Full-time, hybrid role – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
- Help implement Achieve’s policies and uphold the rights and wellbeing of the people we support
- Be part of initiatives aligned with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the NDIS Practice Standards
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver internal quality and practice audits
- Oversee the internal Restrictive Practices Panel authorisation process
- Collaborate cross-functionally to investigate client concerns and drive safeguarding improvements
- Manage and maintain key internal data registers to support informed decision-making
- Provide subject matter advice and escalate safeguarding matters as required via our Quality inbox
- Prepare and refine scheduled reporting in consultation with relevant stakeholders
About You
- Demonstrated experience in the disability sector and understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in conducting and supporting client investigations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships
- Expertise in policy development and quality management systems
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and compliance
- Technologically skilled, with confidence across systems and Microsoft Office tool
