About the role
This role is a mixture between writing and creative storytelling and would suit someone who has a keen interest in working for an organisation with a strong social purpose. You will be focused on creating excellent, well-crafted copy across various mediums.
What you’ll do
- Produce original content for internal and external communications channels, such as Websites, E-Newsletters, Social Media, etc.
- Liaise with the Senior External Communications Manager, committees, senior leadership team and executives on potential media interest stories
- Develop relationships with journalists & editors
- Respond to media enquiries
- Incept, lead and project-manage small, non-complex communications projects
- Work with agencies and consultants to assist with deliverables
- Assist in developing communications and social media strategy & planning
About you
- Excellent writing, grammar and editing skills with a thorough understanding of the craft
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a Communications Officer or similar / higher role
- A strong interest in all things digital and social
- Great presentation skills
- Experienced with engaging Executive and Senior Leadership
- Agency experience is advantageous
- Not-for-profit experience is advantageous
