About the role
We’re looking for a Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant to join our Business Systems team. You will help evolve and support our D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) core platform. In this role, you’ll own functional design across core finance modules, ensuring business processes are translated into scalable, supportable solutions that follow best practices and governance standards.
You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to maintain solution integrity from design through to delivery, and ongoing iterations. Key responsibilities include leading functional solution design, supporting configuration and testing, and driving process improvements to enhance system performance, user experience, and business outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Act as the functional SME for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) with ownership across core finance modules
- Gather and translate business requirements into fit for purpose solutions
- Lead solution design and champion initiatives that drive business process improvement leveraging D365 capabilities
- Own and maintain functional design documentation through to design authority sign off
- Provide guidance on best practices, standardisation, and ensure adherence to governance frameworks
- Collaborate closely with vendors, technical teams (architecture, development, integration) and business stakeholders across delivery and optimisation
- Configure D365 F&O modules and features in line with approved designs
- Support testing activities, including regression testing, and contribute to release planning and change management processes
- Contribute to system stability, performance optimisation, and overall user experience improvements
- Deliver training , documentation and knowledge transfer to business users and support teams
- Monitor and enforce security, compliance, and audit requirements within the D365 F&O environment
About you - 3+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementations, with strong functional expertise across core finance modules
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical & non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or relevant experience
- Microsoft Certifications (eg. MB-310) highly regarded
