About the role
You will manage all aspects of the proposal process for standards development, primarily managing the development of projects and international participation proposals with stakeholders.
Proactively manage relationships with Nominating Organisations, industry and stakeholders to ensure successful representation and expertise across standards development.
What you’ll do
- Proactively work with external stakeholders to progress project proposals and assist stakeholders to satisfy SA’s proposal quality criteria
- Proactively manage proposal risks and issues with an outcome focus
- Build and support working relationships with proposal stakeholders
- Achieve consensus through negotiation and conflict resolution
- Deliver insights to SA on areas of opportunity for the development of new standards or international adoptions
- Support standards development activities in close collaboration with Standards Development project team
- Assist stakeholders in understanding and participating in the standards development process
- Establish, build, maintain, and manage new and existing relationships with stakeholders within a defined sector area
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant applied industry experience
- Experience in a stakeholder engagement, policy or advocacy role, including work across government or industry associations
- Ability to manage conflict and deliver customer excellence
- Experience coordinating consensus outcomes
- Proven experience facilitating meetings
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience in the Building and Construction industry is highly desirable
