About the role
Provide efficient validation and processing of invoices to customers, including receipting of payments received and application of adjustments to transactions.
Another key aspect of the role is to review and coordinate the accuracy of outsourced payroll.
What you’ll do
- Being first point of contact for all external and internal invoice queries
- Assisting new customers with the onboarding process including explaining terms of trade
- Provide consistent high-quality customer service by accurately and efficiently processing accounts receivable transactions
- Creation of invoices and credit notes ensuring compliance to delegation of authority and agreed timelines
- Ensure customer master file data is up to date and accurate
- Regular review of outstanding amounts (i.e., Aged Debtor review)
- Prepare and post allocated month end journals
- Prepare relevant monthly reports and balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
- Work cooperatively within a team, helping to achieve team objectives
- Support the annual audit process, maintain process controls & procedure documentation, supporting information schedules & reconciliations
- Calculate and process payroll adjustments to ensure the accurate administration of salary, associated claims, industrial award entitlements within legislation and policy
- Process complex and special conditions of employment, payroll, reconciliations and related data which may include payroll variations and accurate payments
- Provide data reporting and analysis in line with business requirements to inform salary accuracy and consistency
- Identity system, payroll and employee related issues and contribute to recommendations to improve payroll services and processes.
- Maintain file notes and records through organisational electronic records management systems holding privacy principles in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures
About you - 5+ years’ experience in Quote to Receipt functions in a medium to large organisation
- Strong experience coordinating a payroll function - calculating adjustments, complex conditions/variations, reconciliations, and applying awards/legislation and privacy principles
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or similar favourably regarded
- Involvement in finance-related process improvement projects essential
- Advanced Excel and project management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and Employment Hero is highly desirable
