About the role
This is a critical role where you will be overseeing the strategic planning, implementation and management of enterprise business systems and applications. This includes system management, solution design, delivery and maintenance, vendor management, and business enablement. You will work in collaboration with project and service delivery teams to enable Standards Australia’s digital ambitions.
What you’ll do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Business Systems team
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1-on-1’s, and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Oversee and manage the design, configuration, customisation and support of enterprise business systems. This includes ERP, financial systems and other internal corporate applications
- Ensure business systems are optimised to support current and future business needs, and aligned to IT strategy and architecture
- Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders and business functions to build collaborative partnerships
- Develop and maintain application level strategies and roadmaps, standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures for application lifecycles
- Work with the GPMO to plan and execute projects, ensuring appropriate direction and resources to deliver targeted outcomes effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise system needs and resources effectively
- Engage and manage appropriate vendors for application acquisition, development and support activities including quality assurance and governance
- As part of the IT Leadership Team, contribute to IT strategy and the effective management of the department
About you - 10+ years experience in IT business application management, with 5+ years in team leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Strong experience in managing and configuring ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
- Exposure to Salesforce and eCommerce applications highly desirable
- Strong management experience with a commercial record of attracting and growing great teams
- Passion for bringing the right talent into the organisation, maintaining diversity, and keeping the team engaged
- Extensive experience managing external providers to develop solutions in line with business requirements and company software development and testing practices
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
