About the role
The Commercial Account Manager is the central touchpoint between SA and our partners ensuring the smooth operation of our standards distribution business. This position is not a sales role, but rather a key account and relationship manager with international, high-profile, complex distributors. You will proactively manage relationships, ensuring beneficial commercial revenue outcomes for SA and our partners.
What you’ll do
- Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with distribution partners, ensuring long-term growth and strong commercially focussed collaboration
- Ideate and drive new business and revenue growth strategies collaboratively with wholesale partners
- Co-ordinate the delivery of regular financial and performance reporting
- Own and manage quarterly and annual business review processes for distribution partners
- Manage rollout and implementation of distribution and licencing changes for wholesale partners
- Become the subject matter expert for licencing agreements, commercial models and partner obligations
- Liaise and drive outcomes with internal departments and advocate for distribution partners
- Gather and share customer insights with commercial teams to enhance product development and market relevance
About you - Previous experience in an account management role, ideally working on large, complex accounts
- Highly proactive, motivated, self-starter
- Proven experience in commercial environments and a deep understanding of commercial drivers
- Proficient with commercial numbers/finance
- Familiarity with contracts and legal agreements
- Strong ability to professionally communicate – with a preference for verbal communication to quickly and effectively deliver a message
- Excellent ability to collaborate and manage sophisticated relationships
