About the role
Drive the success of technological projects across the organisation. This position is responsible for leading the business analysis function within the Group Project Management Office (GPMO), ensuring that business requirements are accurately captured, analysed, and translated into effective solutions.
You will manage a team of skilled Business Analysts, driving best practices and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional team members to ensure that business analysis activities are effectively integrated into all phases of the project life cycle, producing the required business outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Manage the allocation of tasks and projects to Business Analysts, ensuring optimal use of resources and balanced workloads
- Monitor and manage the progress of Business Analysts' deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines
- Provide guidance and support to Business Analysts, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their objectives
- Partner with business stakeholders and GPMO (Group Project Management Office) to understand project requirements and objectives
- Ensure that Business Analysts accurately capture, analyse, and document business requirements
- Facilitate the translation of business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project planning, execution, and delivery
- Foster strong relationships with business units, IT, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Drive the adoption of best practices in business analysis within the team
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare and present regular reports on the status of business analysis activities, project progress, and team performance
- Ensure that all documentation related to business requirements, project plans, and deliverables is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of Business Analysts' work to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of business analysis deliverables
- Foster a culture of support by setting clear expectations, providing real-time constructive feedback, effective training, one-on-one coaching, mentoring to drive high performance
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or relevant applied industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in creating and managing user stories, ensuring they are well-defined and meet the needs of the business, along with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation, including user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to apply Agile principles to business analysis and project management
- Strong skills in eliciting requirements through various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and surveys
- Expertise in modelling business processes using tools like BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) or UML (Unified Modelling Language)
- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) is ideal, but not essential.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) is ideal, but not essential
