About the role
This is a pivotal role, responsible for driving successful change initiatives across the organisation. This position partners closely with business leaders to develop a clear and compelling change vision, ensuring that the benefits of change are well-defined and communicated.
Lead the creation and maintenance of a centre of excellence for change. This includes developing and implementing a robust change management framework that supports the organisation's strategic objectives.
Foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement, empowering employees to embrace change and contribute to the organisation's success.
What you’ll do
- Develop all aspects of the Change Management Strategy and approach required to implement transformational business changes across the business successfully
- Lead organisational and transformational change management methodology and practices by supporting ongoing capability development and business education
- Create, develop and promote a Centre of Excellence for Change, which will educate and develop SA’s employees to be high-performing agents of change
- Support and promote change management strategies based on situational analysis, clear understanding of the detail of Change and awareness of the engagement of impacted employees
- Work with relevant teams to understand any related change impacts and develop both strategic and tactical solutions
- Review actionable and targeted change management activity to ensure the capability to manage and deliver the required business changes with minimal disruption
- Develop a consolidated view of Change across the business that can help analyse saturation points, excessive complexity and opportunities to synthesise our approach
- Provide advice and coaching to business leaders in understanding, influencing, embedding and sustaining Change
- Identify, analyse, and prepare mitigation actions to address risks that could affect, constrain, block, or influence change outcomes
- Anticipate potential points of resistance, and develop specific plans to address the risks and issues
- Act as the critical link between senior business leaders and delivery teams to ensure that all relevant parties understand the required Change
- Ensure change management plan dependencies such as engagement; current/future state impacts; change readiness and change sustainability is understood at an organisational level and managed accordingly
- Identify and implement innovative feedback mechanisms to check Change effectiveness
About you - Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 10 years experience working within fast-paced and ambitious transformation environments focusing on behavioral Change
- Demonstrated success in leading transformational and organisational Change programs
- Demonstrated extensive experience managing change and people, including effectively implementing changes to business processes, systems and technology
- Highly developed communication, liaison, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- High-level interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, collaborating and team building
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence others and move toward a shared vision or goal
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
- Proven advanced strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills
- Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics
- Exceptional planning skills and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Awareness of project management processes
- Experience using/implementing the Prosci ADKAR (or similar) methodology
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges
