About the role 

In this role you will support the delivery of Standards Australia's internal and external communications. This role is ideal for a strong communicator who thrives on writing, editing, content planning, and operational delivery in a purpose-driven organisation.
  
What you’ll do

• Draft and edit content for a range of formats including internal announcements, media releases, website pages, presentations, and stakeholder newsletters
• Support the development of storytelling content that highlights the organisation’s purpose, people and impact
• Manage day-to-day internal communications activities
• Assist with media monitoring, distribution of releases, and maintaining media contact databases
• Assist in the preparation of briefing documents, Q&A material, and content to support the Senior Communications Manager and executive spokespeople
• Contribute to social media and website updates in line with broader campaigns
• Maintain and update content calendars across communication platforms
• Help identify opportunities to improve content quality, formats, and audience reach

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a communications, marketing, or content-focused role
• Strong writing, proofreading, and content development skills
• Familiarity with digital platforms including Content Management Systems, intranets, email platforms, and social media
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach to managing content and deadlines
• Ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and platforms
• Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and functions
• Interest in working for a purpose-driven organisation with a public benefit mission
