Our client is a generational, family-owned and operated business based on the Darling Downs, with sites in Pittsworth and Inglewood. Operating for over 25 years, they are a recognised leader in premium organic and specialty stock feed manufacturing, servicing poultry, livestock, and pet sectors. With a strong commitment to sustainable farming practices, they focus on producing high-quality feed while supporting environmental health and long-term agricultural sustainability.
This role is based at the Pittsworth, with occasional travel to other local sites as required. Reporting to the Group Head of Maintenance, this position suits a hands-on Maintenance Fitter who enjoys a mix of preventative and reactive work. You'll be someone who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and collaborate with production teams to keep operations running smoothly. This is a full-time role, with an immediate or negotiable start for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities & Duties: - Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on feed milling equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform timely repairs and fabrication work.
- Use maintenance software (MEX) to record, track, and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to plan and deliver effective outcomes.
Selection Criteria: - Mechanical trade qualification (fitting/fabrication) advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in manufacturing or agricultural equipment environments preferred.
- Strong problem-solving ability with experience using maintenance software.
- Supervisory experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety.
