A Our client is a family-owned Dorper and White Dorper stud, operating successfully as a leader in the industry for many years. The business runs approximately 2,000 stud ewes across two NSW properties, holding regular ram sales. The Quambone property spans approximately 4,200 acres and is located 40km west of Coonamble and 15km east of Quambone. The operation benefits from excellent infrastructure, quality yards and fencing, and a strong focus on grazing management, pasture improvement and regenerative land practices.
Based on the Quambone property, this role reports directly to the off-site owners. It will suit a capable, self-driven sheep operator who enjoys autonomy and wants to take long-term ownership of a property without constant oversight. The owners are seeking someone they can trust to run the place confidently, reducing their need for frequent travel. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Oversee all day-to-day operations of the Quambone sheep property with a strong livestock-first focus.
Manage stud sheep including mustering, yard work, lamb marking, mating programs and data management.
Operate machinery and equipment including side-by-sides, tractors and dozer for property operations.
Maintain infrastructure and contribute to capital works, grazing programs and pasture improvement.
Selection Criteria:
Proven sheep experience with a strong livestock focus, including stud or breeding operations.
Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions and communicate effectively with owners.
Experience or understanding of DNA testing, mothering-up, mating programs and livestock data.
Physically fit, practical and resilient, with the ability to work in hot and dry conditions.

Family-sized on-farm accommodation provided, close to town and schools.
Package includes work ute, meat, accommodation and annual incentive-based bonus.
Working dogs welcome, (pig dogs must be well managed); horses accommodated.
Salary package circa $100,000 per annum NEG, plus house, meat and work ute.
