Our client is a well-established, family-owned cropping and contracting business located just outside Garah, NSW — in the heart of the highly productive north-western cropping region. They specialise in dryland farming with both winter and summer rotations, delivering quality results across all aspects of broadacre production. All contracting work is carried out locally within the Garah district, so you'll be home every night.
This permanent Dozer Operator position reports directly to the farm owner and involves a variety of earthmoving and general farm operations. You'll work with one of 2 x D6R Dozers on projects ranging from tree thinning to fenceline clearing, with additional farm maintenance during wet periods.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Operate a D6R dozer for tree thinning, dirt work, blade ploughing, and fenceline clearing and general rural earth works.
Carry out general rural machinery and farm maintenance tasks as needed.
Perform daily equipment checks and basic mechanical maintenance.
Follow safe work practices and maintain clear communication with the team.
Selection Criteria:
Proven experience operating dozers and / or similar heavy machinery.
Sound mechanical aptitude with solid literacy and numeracy skills.
Reliable, open, and honest attitude with good communication skills.
Current driver's licence and ability to supply own vehicle and tools.
Additional Particulars:
Single accommodation supplied in Garah (no room for animals).
Drive In - Drive Out; flexible accommodation options in future.
Rate based on experience; ABN option available if preferred.
