Our client operates a large-scale, modern beef cattle feedlot located at Coonamble in north-west NSW. Currently running 17,000 SCU and entering an exciting growth phase, the business is known for its commitment to animal welfare, operational excellence, and developing capable leaders from within. Coonamble is a close-knit rural community with a strong agricultural backbone, offering quality schools, a well-regarded hospital, modern sporting facilities, and a welcoming, down-to-earth lifestyle — making it an excellent place to live and work.
This role reports directly to the Feedlot Management Team and works closely with senior leaders across the operation. It is ideally suited to someone already in a supervisory role looking to step into management, or an experienced livestock operator with strong stock sense and leadership ambition.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Coordinate daily feedlot operations, including planning workflows, resources, and on-ground activities.
Oversee livestock health and welfare through pen monitoring, processing support, and low-stress handling practices.
Support feeding operations by monitoring feedbunks, understanding rations, and liaising with the Feedmill team.
Coordinate maintenance, WHS compliance, record keeping, and continuous improvement initiatives as the site expands.
Selection Criteria:
Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving capability in a livestock or feedlot environment.
Safety-first mindset with calm, reliable decision-making under pressure.
Confident use of technology for records, communication, and operational tracking.
Valid Driver's Licence, full Australian working rights, and flexibility for early starts and rotating weekends.

Accommodation provided in Coonamble (separate from the crew).
Own horses well regarded.
