Join a respected and progressive feedlot operation located near Coonamble in northwestern New South Wales. Currently running 10,000 SCU with capacity for up to 15,000 SCU, this modern, privately owned feedlot offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a well-resourced and forward-thinking team.
You'll work alongside a tight-knit, motivated stock crew who are passionate about best-practice animal care and welfare. Reporting directly to the management team, your primary duties will include:
Pen riding or walking to monitor livestock.
Administering correct treatments and accurately recording data.
Induction of new cattle.
Identifying and drafting livestock.
Moving pens as required.
Cleaning and maintaining water troughs.
Ensuring compliance with industry quality assurance standards.
Skills & Favourable Attributes:
Experience working with cattle and horses (particularly if riding pens).
Experience with Elynx software is advantageous.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
For those riding pens, the ability to supply two suitable work horses that are Hendra vaccinated is essential.
Position Details:
Roster: 10 days on, 4 days off.
Accommodation within a staff house in Coonamble is available for minimal rent.
Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience and discussed during the interview.
