Be part of a large-scale, family-owned Pilbara cattle operation for the 2026 mustering season, working hands-on across serious country. If you love dust, cattle and wide-open spaces, saddle up for a full season of horses, bikes, helicopters and big workdays ahead.

• Seasonal station role on a large Pilbara coastal cattle aggregation.
• Horses, bikes, helicopters and low-stress stock handling practices.
• Late Feb / early March start through to Nov / Dec (seasonal).

Our client is a family-owned aggregation of cattle stations located along the Pilbara coastal region of Northern Western Australia, operating across multiple properties within their own tight knit stock team community. The operation runs Brahman and Brahman cross cattle, with the main station spanning approximately one million acres, offering genuine large-scale northern cattle experience.
 
These are seasonal Station Hand positions commencing late February / early March 2026, running through to November or December depending on seasonal conditions. Station Hands work as part of a broader station crew across the aggregation under a Leading Hand, Head Stockperson, Manager and Owner. There is a strong opportunity to return for future seasons for the right candidates.
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Mustering cattle using horses, 2-wheel AG motorbikes, buggies and utes, with aerial helicopter support.
• Yard work including drafting, weaning and general cattle processing.
• Property and station maintenance, including general station duties.
• Assisting with capital works such as fencing, yard building, shed and workshop maintenance.

Selection Criteria:

• Agricultural background with capability on a horse and/or motorbike in varied terrain.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a station crew with a strong team mindset.
• Commitment to seeing out the full 2026 season.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and understanding of remote station life.
• Realistic understanding & expectations of what life is like on a working cattle station.
• Additional skills such as welding, mechanical, plumbing or carpentry highly regarded.

Additional Particulars:

• Strong focus on low-stress stock handling and strict workplace health & safety compliance.
• Must hold a minimum provisional driver's licence.
• Donga-style accommodation with single rooms only (no couples). Some rooms are ensuited, while others share communal amenities. A large mess hall adjoins the station kitchen and is used for communal meals.
• All meals supplied by the Station Cook.
