- Work together as a couple in a long-term caretaker role on a well-established 6,000 ha cattle and cropping property in the Douglas Daly region.

Our client is a highly respected family-owned Northern Territory pastoral aggregation operating across cattle, hay, cotton and irrigation enterprises. Known for their practical approach and strong reputation across the industry, they run progressive and well-managed properties while maintaining genuine family values and long-term staff relationships. This role is based in the Douglas Daly Region, one of the Top End's most productive and sought-after agricultural districts. Located between Darwin and Katherine, the Douglas Daly region is renowned for its fertile soils, irrigation agriculture and strong pastoral community.

This role reports to the onsite Senior Station Hand, with support and oversight from the owners who live locally. The position would suit a practical couple who enjoy working together, take pride in maintaining property infrastructure, and are looking to commit to a long-term rural lifestyle rather than short-term travel work. An immediate start is preferred (once access allows following recent wet weather). However, flexibility exists for the right couple.
Key Responsibilities & Duties: - Maintain property infrastructure including fences, bores, pumps and general station assets.
- Check and maintain stock water points.
- Maintain and monitor irrigation pivots and related infrastructure.
- Care for station surrounds including gardens, lawns and general property presentation, plus assist within similar duties at neighbouring company stations during peak periods when needed.
Selection Criteria: - A practical couple able to work effectively together across property maintenance tasks.
- Ability to follow direction and communicate well with the onsite Senior Station Hand and property owners.
- Reliable, organised and tidy work habits with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Genuine interest in committing to a long-term rural role (not suited to short-term travellers).
