Our client is a highly respected, large-scale cropping operation located between Goondiwindi and Moonie, QLD, about 45 km north of Goondiwindi. They use modern machinery and run a professional operation where experienced staff are trusted and given responsibility. Commencing in early 2026 and reporting directly to the management team, this role is hands-on and crucial to keeping operations running smoothly. You'll operate machinery, oversee crops from start to finish, and take charge when the Overseer is away. This is a role for someone ready to grow into leadership and make their mark in the border region.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Lead and manage day-to-day cropping operations, including machinery operation and maintenance.
Take full responsibility when the Overseer is away, keeping the farm running efficiently.
Mentor and guide other staff, providing practical leadership on the ground.
Support mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting across machinery and equipment.
Selection Criteria:
Proven cropping experience and machinery skills.
Ability to work independently and make good decisions on the fly.
Own tools and a hands-on, mechanically capable approach.
Reliable, positive, and looking to settle in a long-term role.
Additional Particulars:
Located between Goondiwindi & Moonie, QLD (45 km north of Goondiwindi).
Accommodation: Family home with power supplied.
Work vehicle: Land Cruiser Ute supplied.
School bus access to Goondiwindi for families.
Remuneration circa $35-$37/hour depending on experience.
