Our client operates a well-established cattle station located approximately halfway between Clermont and Charters Towers in North Queensland. Spanning around 63,000 acres, the property runs approximately 1,200 head of Droughtmaster breeders + Progeny and dry cows. The station is a tidy, well-maintained operation with a strong family focus. The owners pride themselves on creating a supportive and flexible working environment.
 
This is a permanent opportunity for a capable and self-sufficient station couple who can work together to keep the property running smoothly. The couple will report directly to the owner and will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the station. The role would suit practical, hands-on people who enjoy a variety of station work and can confidently manage tasks independently when the owner is away. Applicants must be comfortable working cattle using horses, bikes, buggies and occasionally under helicopter. Working dogs are not used nor permitted on the property. Candidates who ride confidently and can bring their own horses will be highly regarded. The position will be ready to commence once current wet conditions ease.
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Mustering and yard work using horses, motorbikes and buggies.
• Fencing and basic property development work and maintenance as required.
• Operation of station machinery including dozer, stick rake and bobcat as required.
• General station upkeep including basic mechanical maintenance and all-round station duties.

Selection Criteria:

• Confident and capable cattle handlers with strong horsemanship skills (own horses preferred).
• Competent operating 2-wheel Ag bikes and comfortable working in remote station environments.
• Self-reliant couple able to work independently and keep operations moving when the owner is away.
• Positive attitudes with the ability to work well together across a variety of station tasks.
