Recruiting on behalf of our client, we are proud to represent a well-respected dryland farming enterprise located in the Goondiwindi region, approximately 25-30 km south of the QLD/NSW border and just off the Newell Highway. This is a fully integrated, end-to-end operation—no contractors—running a rotational farming program consisting of roughly 70% winter cropping and 30% summer cropping. The property features an impressive fleet including CASE headers with Trimble, CAT Challenger track-type tractors with Trimble, a brand-new John Deere SP spray rig, Excel precision summer crop planter, Excel & Gyral winter planters, and multiple Kenworth trucks (supported by a full-time driver).
This full-time role will see you working closely with the farm owner and senior operators across all aspects of dryland cropping. You'll be hands-on, contributing to a smooth, efficient, and safe operation while continuing to develop skills and knowledge across machinery operation, record keeping, and seasonal farming programs.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Assist in all dryland cropping operations across both summer and winter programs.
Operate and maintain a modern fleet of broadacre machinery and precision equipment.
Support end-to-end farming activities including planting, spraying, harvesting, and general farm work.
Contribute to on-farm record keeping, safety, and operational efficiency.
Selection Criteria:
Transferrable skills in agriculture, machinery operation, or related rural work.
Practical mindset, good demeanour, and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Ability to follow farm plans, maintain records, and operate safely and responsibly.
Truck licence highly regarded (or willingness to obtain).
