Our client is a family owned and operated cattle station located approximately 70km south of Daly Waters in the Northern Territory. Spanning just shy of one million acres, the station runs a full-time crew of eight. While remote, it is not considered extremely isolated. This is a well-run, practical operation offering genuine outback experience within a supportive team environment.
 
Both roles report directly to Station Management with the opportunity being suitable for a practical, adaptable couple who enjoy remote living, are self-motivated and work well within a small crew. The Bore Runner role would suit someone with at least 1 year of Station Hand experience (bore running experience highly regarded), while the Cook should be confident preparing daily meals and managing homestead duties.
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Conduct full bore runs across the station (approx. 3 days to complete a full run), including monitoring 1 solar bore and multiple mono bores, checking dams and cleaning troughs.
• Maintain water infrastructure including lick distribution, fence maintenance and water point enclosures (no cattle mustering or yard work required).
• Prepare and deliver daily meals for approximately 8 crew members, maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards.
• Undertake homestead duties including cleaning rooms after visitors, making beds, mowing lawns and general domestic upkeep.

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum 1 year Station Hand experience preferred for Bore Runner role.
• Previous bore running experience highly favourable (training provided if required).
• Plumbing and/or welding experience advantageous.
• Previous cooking experience in a remote or station environment desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake domestic duties essential.

Additional Particulars:

• Bore running frequency varies seasonally - weekly (or twice weekly) during dry months, full-time focus during warmer months.
• No cattle mustering or yard work required.

• Remuneration negotiable based on experience.
