Our client is a family-owned and operated cattle station spanning just shy of one million acres, located approximately 70km south of Daly Waters. While remote, the property is not extremely isolated and operates with a full-time crew of eight. This is a genuine outback opportunity to become part of a supportive, hardworking team for the 2026 season.
The Station Cook reports directly to Station Management and works closely with the station crew. This role suits someone practical, adaptable and happy to pitch in beyond the kitchen. It's ideal for candidates who enjoy rural life, can work independently and take pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming homestead. The position commences mid-April 2026 and runs through to November 2026.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Prepare and deliver daily meals for approximately 8 crew members.
Maintain high kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
Assist with homestead duties including making beds and cleaning visitor rooms.
Undertake general domestic and garden tasks such as mowing lawns.
Selection Criteria:
Previous cooking experience (remote or station experience highly regarded but not essential).
Willingness to assist with domestic and garden duties in addition to cooking.
Ability to live and work in a remote station environment.
Strong organisational skills and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

Seasonal role: Mid-April to November 2026.
Single room accommodation with separate shared amenities.
All meals supplied.
Remuneration negotiable based on experience.
May suit a couple — a Boreman is also required on station (partner encouraged to apply with CV).
No dogs permitted.
