Love wide open spaces, independence and being the backbone of a cattle station? This Bore Runner role puts you front and centre of station operations on a large NT property, responsible for the true lifeline of any cattle station - water.

• Autonomous role covering a vast, well-established station.
• No mustering or yard work - focus purely on water & station upkeep.
• Training provided for the right person - experience welcomed, not essential.

Our client is a family owned and operated cattle station spanning just under one million acres, located approximately 70km south of Daly Waters in the Northern Territory. While expansive, the station is not extremely isolated and is supported by a full-time crew of eight. The operation is well run, practical and values people who take pride in doing the job right. This role is responsible for maintaining and monitoring all water infrastructure across the station, reporting directly to the station owners. The Bore Runner plays a critical role in ensuring livestock welfare and station efficiency, particularly through the dry season when water reliability is everything.
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Conduct full bore runs across the entire station (approx. 3 days per full run).
• Monitor, start and maintain mono pumps and solar bore systems.
• Check dams, clean troughs and maintain water point enclosures.
• Assist with general station maintenance including lick runs and fencing between bore runs.

Selection Criteria:

• Previous bore running experience highly regarded (training provided if required).
• Station hand experience (12 months suitable).
• Mechanical aptitude; plumbing and welding skills highly favourable.
• Reliable, safety-minded and comfortable working independently across large areas.

• Single room accommodation with separate shared amenities.
• All meals supplied.

• Remuneration negotiable based on experience.
