Position Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly strategic and systems-driven Financial Controller to join the pre-opening leadership team of a new ultra luxury boutique hotel in the Seychelles.

The resort will feature approximately 100 luxury keys, signature restaurants, leisure facilities, and a highly personalised luxury guest experience.

This is not a traditional accounting-focused Financial Controller role. Ownership is seeking a commercially intelligent finance leader capable of building a modern, integrated, system-led finance operation from the ground up.
The successful candidate will lead the transition away from manual spreadsheet-heavy finance management towards automated workflows, integrated financial systems, real-time reporting, and advanced business intelligence capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full finance function during pre-opening and operational launch
• Establish financial controls, governance, forecasting, and reporting frameworks
• Implement modern finance systems and integrated operational reporting
• Reduce operational reliance on manual Excel-based processes
• Develop automated workflows and real-time KPI visibility
• Partner closely with operations and executive leadership
• Drive commercial performance, profitability analysis, and cost optimisation
• Build scalable finance structures aligned with modern luxury hospitality operations

Candidate Profile

• Proven Financial Controller or Director of Finance experience within luxury hospitality
• Strong pre-opening or hospitality transformation experience
• Systems-oriented and commercially strategic
• Experience modernising finance operations beyond spreadsheet dependency
• Strong leadership, integrity, and operational partnership capability
• Comfortable working within an island resort environment
