Modern Minders is seeking an exceptional professional nanny for one of our newest client families. This unique opportunity is ideal for a travel-savvy nanny who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys supporting working parents, and loves caring for infants during an exciting stage of development.
This position begins with an extended production schedule in Vancouver, followed by other international travel TBA, before returning to the family's home base in California. While this role is initially structured around an extended production schedule (sometimes requiring 5 or 6 days' worth of work at times) , the family hopes to build a long-term relationship with the right nanny with a more traditional structure. 
About the Family
This family is warm, down-to-earth professionals who recently welcomed their first child. They are thoughtful, kind, highly communicative, and deeply involved parents who are looking for a nanny who naturally complements their parenting style.
Dad works remotely and is an incredibly hands-on father. Mom works in the entertainment industry and will be filming on location for several months. During production, the nanny will primarily support Mom and baby while traveling to and from set, helping maintain routines, supporting breastfeeding, and creating a calm, nurturing environment throughout long filming days.
The family values creativity, imagination, kindness, organization, and professionalism. They're hoping to find someone who becomes a trusted extension of their family.

Approximately November through Summer 2027, with the possibility of transitioning into a long-term position.
Responsibilities
The nanny's primary responsibility will always be providing exceptional care for one infant while supporting the family's busy schedule.
Responsibilities include:

• Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate infant care
• Supporting breastfeeding routines and bottle feeding as needed
• Traveling with the family throughout production
• Accompanying Mom and baby to set when appropriate
• Maintaining consistent feeding and sleep schedules
• Planning age-appropriate developmental activities
• Children's laundry
• Washing bottles, pump parts, and feeding equipment
• Organizing nursery and baby belongings
• Packing and unpacking for travel
• Maintaining diaper bags and baby supplies
• Ordering child-related items as needed
• Light household support directly related to the child
• Maintaining excellent communication with both parents
• Private accommodations provided when off duty. 

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced with infants from the newborn stage forward
• Comfortable with extensive domestic and international travel
• Calm under pressure and highly adaptable
• Creative, playful, and genuinely enjoys interacting with children
• Organized and proactive without being overbearing
• Respectful of family privacy
• Collaborative with involved parents
• Professional, discreet, and flexible
• Comfortable with long production days and changing schedules

Requirements

• Minimum five years of professional nanny experience
• Significant infant experience
• CPR & First Aid Certified
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Able to travel internationally
• Passport ready
• Professional references
• Excellent employment longevity preferred
• Able to pass comprehensive background screening

Compensation
Estimated Base Rate: $35-$45/hour DOE
Because California overtime laws apply to household employees, total annual compensation will vary depending on production schedules and travel requirements.
Estimated annual compensation:
Approximately $125,000-$180,000+ DOE
Benefits package to be discussed with finalists.
