Job Title: Construction Project Engineer - Mechanical / Plumbing

**This is a full-time permanent direct placement opportunity.

Company Overview:
Our client is a leading mechanical and plumbing contractor serving the DMV, specializing in large-scale commercial construction projects such as data centers, hospitals, federal facilities, high-rise residential buildings, college campuses, and trophy office buildings, with project values ranging from $15M to $200M. • The estimated pay range for this role is $65,000 - $95,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, track, and manage submittals and RFIs for mechanical and plumbing equipment and materials.
• Build and maintain the Equipment Tracking Log.
• Assist the Project Manager with purchasing activities, including scoping, take-offs, and drafting change order proposals.
• Facilitate coordination of drawings, attending meetings, and tracking design changes through BIM model reviews.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and assist with field coordination, punch list tracking, and material management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; vocational training or apprenticeship in a relevant trade is a plus.
• 0–3 years of experience in project engineering, construction coordination, or a related role; recent graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications; field or trade experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus but not necessary if you are eager to learn.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a genuine interest in mechanical and plumbing construction.
