Job Title: Assistant Construction Project Manager - Mechanical & Plumbing

**This is a full-time permanent direct placement opportunity.

Seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects across the DMV. As one of the premier mechanical contractors in the region, our client works on large-scale, technically complex projects — data centers, hospitals, federal facilities, high-rise residential, college campuses, and office buildings — with project values ranging from $15M to $200M.
This is a hands-on role working directly alongside a Project Manager and field Foreman. You will own real deliverables, be on the job site regularly, and be developed for a PM role over time. They promote from within — every PM here started by doing exactly what this role does.

• The estimated pay range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage submittals for mechanical and plumbing equipment, materials, and systems, ensuring timely approvals.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation including RFIs, change orders, and project reports.
• Act as the primary contact for document management applications and oversee the Equipment Tracking Log.
• Assist the Project Manager in purchasing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular site visits and liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing project management or related construction roles.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems, including experience with a mechanical contractor or subcontractor.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and familiarity with Procore; experience with BIM coordination is advantageous.
• Ability to read electrical and controls design documents, along with a background in hands-on mechanical/plumbing installation.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
