Project Engineer- Heavy Highway
 
The Project Engineer works alongside the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop and execute plans and schedules for heavy highway and paving construction projects.
 
Responsibilities:

• To ensure projects are supervised by a company representative in possession of state/municipal required Sediment Control and Traffic Control Certifications.
• Monitors all work, including subcontractors, for safety compliance in conjunction with the Safety Manager.
• Interprets drawings, specifications and technical information and disseminates to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design details.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction management (estimating, operations, and/or project engineering) role. Heavy civil experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is highly desirable and may substitute for civil construction work experience.
• Strong PC skills including a proficiency in various construction and office software.
• Familiarity with construction industry practices.
• Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.
• Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.
